Nick Evashavik

I have prepared hundreds of wills, living wills and power of attorneys since 1995.  Additionally, I have represented hundreds of clients in probate and estate matters during that time.  I can assist you with every manner relating to estate planning, will preparation and power of attorney to ensure that your family and loved ones are provided for consistent with your wishes.  Preparing for your family's future can be a stressful experience.  I can help to alleviate that stress by answering all of your questions and preparing the necessary legal documents.  If you have lost a family member or loved one I can answer all of your questions and assist you if estate proceedings must be initiated whether or not you have been named as executor of the estate.  When facing these issues you need an experienced, fair attorney to help navigate the probate process.  I have over 25 years of experience in assisting clients with these matters and the entire probate process.  Please call me at any time at no charge to answer questions you may have about wills, estate and the probate process.

Practicing as an Estate, Civil and Criminal Law Attorney in Pittsburgh, PA and the surrounding counties for over 25 years, I have had the unique opportunity to assist some of our local communities grow to meet the fast-paced demands of urban sprawl through real estate development, land use and zoning regulations.  I have represented both private and public interests in numerous aspects of state, local and municipal law, including:

  • Civil Rights
  • Education
  • Taxation and Assessment
  • Real Estate Development
  • Zoning
  • Land Use
  • Government Law
  • Economic Development
Throughout my career, I have served as Solicitor for many local townships, boroughs and government entities.  I have also served as special municipal counsel and acted as the hearing examiner for many government agencies.

Additionally, I have a wide-ranging civil litigation practice.  This has entailed representing both plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury lawsuits.  I have also represented both employers and employees in workers' compensation claims.  My experience in representing both injured clients as well as defending against these types of claims has given me unique insight into the successful handling of all types of injury claims from both perspectives.  My success in handling both workers' compensation claims and personal injury lawsuits have helped me to achieve a greater understanding of each type of lawsuit.  I have successfully tried over 40 jury trials to verdict in both state and federal courts in Pennsylvania representing both plaintiffs and defendants.  This has included claims for personal injury and employment discrimination.

Also I have successfully represented numerous clients charged with DUI, drug offenses and other criminal matters throughout western Pennsylvania for over 25 years.  I have successfully tried many cases to verdict for my clients over the course of my career.

Effectively assisting my clients during what are often difficult and emotional times has always been and will continue to be my top priority.
