The Evashavik name has been synonymous with the law since the 1930's.  Gerry Evashavik started practicing law with his uncle Mike, representing municipalities, individuals and estates.  Over the years Gerry was joined in his legal practice by his daughter, Susan, who has since become an Allegheny County Judge, and his 2 sons, Greg and Nick.  A true family firm that looks forward to assisting you and your family through any estate or legal issues you may have.

Greg has extensive experience in estate administration and elder law by having a concentration in this area for over 30 years.  This background allows him to provide efficient legal services at a reasonable cost to his clients.  He knows the estate and probate process and procedure extremely well which enables him to expedite the work and avoid any unnecessary delays.

Greg also has broad knowledge and practice in municipal law, workers' compensation claims, civil trial litigation and contract disputes.  He has represented municipalities, local governments, boards and agencies since 1986.  He is recognized as a trusted advisor to local government officials and has earned a reputation for knowledge, experience and fairness.  His extensive civil trial experience is a valuable tool not only in the field of municipal law but in any civil dispute including contract matters, business and construction disputes and workers' compensation claims.

Nick Evashavik

Nick Evashavik

Nick focuses on estate planning and estate administration.  In addition he has experience and  expertise in tax assessment appeals, criminal matters including DUIs, workers' compensation claims, municipal law and personal injury claims.

He has successfully handled hundreds of property tax appeals on behalf of both homeowners and taxing bodies ranging from multi-million dollar commercial properties to neighborhood homes all across Allegheny County.  He has tried countless cases in Allegheny County courts securing substantial tax refunds for clients who are property owners as well as ensuring that property owners pay their fair share of local property taxes when representing taxing bodies.

From the outset of his career he has defended individuals charged criminally.  He has successfully tried countless criminal cases resulting in either an acquittal or significantly reduced charges for his client.  These charges have ranged from DUI to simple assault to drug offenses.

Additionally, he has a wide-ranging civil litigation practice.  He has represented both plaintiffs and defendants in personal injury lawsuits, workers' compensation claims and employment discrimination matters in both state and federal courts.  He has successfully tried over 40 jury trials to verdict representing both plaintiffs and defendants.
